Free vs Paid Posts

A free post

A free post is available to everyone at no cost. People can view and interact with it, making it perfect for sharing updates or building an audience. You can edit or delete it at any time.

If you'd like people to follow you before seeing the whole thing, turn on Follow to unlock in the post's settings: everyone sees the preview, and the rest opens once they follow.

A paid post

A paid post requires payment to view. You set the price yourself, anywhere from $1 to $10.

Paid posts are ideal for premium material you want to sell. You build them from the same blocks as any other post — text, images and video — so a lesson, a walkthrough or a guide is a matter of how you put those together.

You can also include a free part, which everyone sees before deciding to buy. It's optional, but it's what usually does the selling.

What changes once someone buys

This is worth knowing before you publish:

  • Before the first purchase you can change anything, or delete the post.

  • After the first purchase the post can no longer be deleted, and the content itself is fixed. You can still edit the settings — price, description, hashtags.

A free post has none of these limits.
