Type a username, first name or last name into the search bar at the top of the page and press Enter — results appear only once you do. Open the Users tab to see just the people.
Each result card has Add friend and Follow on it, so you can connect without opening the profile first. See Difference Between Following and Friending on Sociala.
Your recent searches
Click the search field and your last few queries appear below it. The cross beside one removes it from the list.
People Sociala suggests
On the Connections page you'll find People you may know, built from mutual friends, and Based on your interests, built from your profile categories. Often quicker than searching for someone by name.
Two things worth knowing
You need to be signed in — searching as a guest opens the sign-in window.
Someone who has just joined may take a little while to become searchable.
