Ways to Engage with a Post

Under every post there's a row of buttons. Here's what each one does.

Like and Dislike

Like is free. Dislike costs $0.10, taken from your Sociala balance — you'll see a confirmation window with the amount before anything is charged, and you can back out there. Disliking your own post is free.

The two are mutually exclusive: liking a post you'd disliked removes the dislike, and the other way round. See Dislike Fee.

Comment and reply

Join the conversation by leaving a comment or replying to others. You can also like or dislike comments from other users.

Once your comment is posted, you can edit or delete it: click the three dots in its top-right corner and choose Edit or Delete.

Share

The Share button opens a short list:

  • Share to your profile — the post appears on your profile with your own note.

  • Share on the channel — the same, in one of your channels.

  • Facebook, X, Threads or WhatsApp — for sharing outside Sociala.

Copy

Copy sits next to Share and puts the post's link on your clipboard, ready to paste anywhere.

Thank you!

The Thank you! button lets you send the creator a tip of any amount. It's there when the creator has donations switched on. See How the Donation Feature Works.

Reading the post

  • Show more opens a long post in full — the feed shows only the first few lines.

  • See translation appears when the post is in another language, and translates it in place.

  • The eye icon beside the date is the view count.

The three dots

On someone else's post the menu has Report. On your own you'll find Edit, Pin and Delete — see Editing a Post and Deleting a Post.

If the post asks you to follow

Some free posts have Follow to unlock switched on. You'll see the preview, but reading the rest, commenting and reacting all prompt you to follow the author first. One click and the post opens.
