A free trial lowers the barrier for newcomers: they get to see the value first, and you get subscribers who already know what they're paying for.
Trials are available on subscription channels. A channel with a one-time payment doesn't have them.
Add a trial while creating the channel
Choose Paid — Subscription in the channel form, and the Free trial block appears below the subscription plans.
Pick the plan the trial applies to.
Choose how many days it lasts.
Repeat for another plan if you offer several.
Then click Create, and the channel goes live with the trial offer.
Add or change a trial later
Open your channel and click Settings.
Go to the Membership tab.
In the Free trial block, add a trial, change the plan or the number of days, or remove it.
Save your changes.
New terms apply to people who subscribe from that moment on. Anyone already subscribed keeps what they signed up for.
What your subscribers should know
Users can only use the free trial once per channel — a second trial on the same channel isn't offered, though a trial on someone else's channel still is.
If someone cancels during the trial, nothing is charged and they keep access until the trial runs out.
