Donations are generally not refundable. They're a gift rather than a purchase, so once one goes through, it stays with the person you sent it to, except where the law, the payment provider's rules or a specific promotion says otherwise.
If it's a monthly donation, you can stop it yourself
Most refund questions are really about stopping future charges, and that you can do in a few seconds:
Open Settings → Subscriptions.
Find the donation in the list and open the menu next to it.
Cancel it. Nothing more will be charged.
Payments already made aren't returned, but no new ones will be taken. See Managing Your Subscriptions.
If the creator's page disappears mid-payment
If the profile or channel you were donating to is deleted while your payment is going through, the amount is credited back to your Sociala balance where your payment method allows it. You don't need to ask for that.
Something looks wrong
If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or something else doesn't add up, write to us at [email protected] with the date and amount, and we'll look into it. Our Terms of Use (Section 11) set out the cases where a refund is possible.
