Some creators charge for messages from people they aren't connected with. Here's how that works on both sides.
Setting a price for your messages
Open your chats, click the gear above the chat list and go to Chat settings. Set a paid messaging request price anywhere from $2 to $100. The screen shows exactly what reaches you after fees.
The price applies only to people you aren't connected with. Friends, and people you follow both ways, write to you for free.
Writing to someone who charges
If you aren't connected with the person and they've set a price, you'll be asked to pay it before your message is sent. It arrives in their Requests.
Payment comes from your Sociala balance first, and from your card for anything it doesn't cover.
When the money comes back
No reply within 5 days — the amount returns to your Sociala balance automatically. You don't need to ask.
The person blocks you before replying — you get the money back.
Once they've replied, the payment isn't refundable.
Haven't got your money back?
If 5 days have passed with no reply and nothing has come back, write to us at [email protected] with the transaction ID from Wallet → Details.
