Someone has sent you a link to their page on Sociala. Here's what booking a call there looks like.
You'll need a Sociala account
Start with this, because it comes as a surprise otherwise. Browsing the page needs nothing. Confirming a booking requires a Sociala account, and if you don't have one it's created for you as part of booking — there's no way to book as a guest. A public profile can be created along with the account, and you're told that before the account is created.
It takes a minute and needs no password, but it does mean agreeing to Sociala's Terms of Use and Privacy & Cookies Policy. If that's not something you want to do, say so to the person who sent you the link before you pick a time.
Choose a time
Each call on the page shows its length and its price. Press Book a call and the Call booking screen opens.
A strip of dates runs along the top. Only dates the expert works are shown — a missing date isn't a fault, it's a day off.
Times are listed under AM and PM headings, in 15-minute steps, in your own time zone.
The time zone is shown above the dates. If it isn't yours, use Change time zone before you pick.
Pick a date, pick a time, then press Booking.
Now you're asked to sign in to confirm. Either:
Continue with Google, or
enter your email, tick the box agreeing to the Terms of Use and Privacy & Cookies Policy, and enter the code we send you.
If there's no account on that address, one is created once you confirm the code. No password is needed — you can set one later.
Already signed in to Sociala? You skip this.
Recording
A call can be recorded, and that's disclosed before you book. By booking you acknowledge that calls may be recorded and that Sociala may use recordings, transcripts and related materials for disclosed purposes, including the development, training and improvement of Sociala's own AI models, subject to applicable law and any required separate consent. Booking isn't the same as consenting to be recorded — see Joining and Running a Meeting.
Paying
Free calls have no payment step.
For a paid call, we tell you what will happen to your money before you enter anything:
More than four days away — your card is checked now, the money is held closer to the date.
Four days or less — the money is held straight away.
Either way the final charge comes after the meeting, not before — though the held amount can be captured earlier if the hold is about to expire, and anything due back is returned. The payment goes to the expert.
Booking something soon? Read this first
Cancelling less than 24 hours before a paid call means half the price is kept. You'll be warned when you book that close, but it's worth knowing before you choose the time. See Cancelling a Meeting.
If the slot goes while you're booking
Slots are checked at the moment you confirm, so someone can take yours first. You'll be asked to pick another time. Nothing is charged — no money had been taken.
After booking
You'll get the details and an email with them. Then see Joining and Running a Meeting.
