Check the filters first
Open the bell in the top bar. Three things on that page hide notifications, and all three are easy to leave switched on by accident:
The tabs — All, Profile, My channels. Something about one of your channels won't appear under Profile.
The category dropdown below them. Set it back to All notifications.
The Show unread switch, which hides everything you've already opened.
Older entries load in batches — View more at the bottom brings up the rest.
Some things don't create a notification at all
Repeated reactions of the same kind on the same post are grouped: ten likes on one post won't give you ten notifications. That's by design, not a fault.
Direct messages aren't on this page either — they have their own icon beside the bell.
No pop-up notifications in your browser
Check that your browser hasn't blocked notifications for Sociala, and that your operating system isn't in a do-not-disturb mode. On phones and tablets pop-up banners aren't shown at all — open the bell to see what's new.
Emails aren't arriving
Check your spam or junk folder and mark the message as Not spam.
