How you delete a channel depends on whether people have paid to be in it.
A free channel
Open the channel, click Settings, go to the Channel details tab and click Delete channel. That's the whole procedure.
A paid channel
Here it isn't a single button, and that's on purpose: people have paid you for access, so the platform walks you through closing the door properly before the channel disappears. Everything below happens in Settings → Management.
Step 1. Close the door to new subscribers
In Entry for new subscribers, click Restrict. Until you do, the remaining steps stay greyed out — the channel can't be dismantled while people are still joining it.
You'll confirm with a code sent to your email.
Step 2. Let existing subscribers run out
Click Delete under Delete all subscribers. Nobody loses anything they paid for: each subscriber is removed once their current period ends, and you'll see the progress on the same page.
This step also needs the emailed code.
Step 3. Delete the channel
Once there are no subscribers left, Delete channel becomes available. Confirm it with the emailed code, and the channel is gone.
What happens to the people who paid
Subscribers keep access until the end of the period they've paid for.
On a one-time payment channel, the channel isn't removed until the last person's access has expired.
Anyone who bought individual posts gets an email and a notification with a link to a page holding the posts they purchased. The page is theirs alone and stays available after the channel is gone.
Anyone opening the old channel link afterwards sees that the channel has been deleted.
