Check the file against the limits
Images — up to 10 in one block, in PNG, JPG, JPEG or GIF, up to 30MB each.
Video — MP4, MOV, M4V or 3GP, up to 5GB, between 10 seconds and 90 minutes.
A file that's too big is refused on its own — the others in the block stay where they are, so you only need to replace the one.
If the upload keeps stopping partway
A large file over an unstable connection is the usual cause. Try again on a steadier network.
For a long video, paste a link instead of uploading. The video block has a Video link field — the video is embedded, nothing is uploaded, and it works in seconds. See How to Include Content in Your Posts.
On a phone, make sure the browser is allowed to reach your photos.
The post won't publish and nothing says why
Publishing is blocked while media is still uploading, and you'll see a message saying so. Wait for the previews to finish — only the files that have finished are outlined — and publish then. Nothing is broken.
The file uploaded but the post looks empty
Give it a moment and reload — large media takes a little processing.
If you closed the form, your work isn't lost: it's kept as a draft and opens automatically the next time you start a post in the same place. See Managing Your Post Drafts.
If the file is within the limits and still won't go, write to [email protected] with the file type, its size and the exact error.
